| After a not so impressive debut film Josh, Akkineni Naga Chaitanya comes up with a stimulating romantic comedy and this time he steals your heart. He plays a charming lover boy, and actually does a good job of it. In the film, Chaitanya plays the role Karthik who is a smooth, lively, loving young man who pursues his love with great enthusiasm. He proves that he is a brilliant actor with his performance in this movie. His perseverance in fact, transforms even an unyielding and traditional girl (Samantha) and makes her sign off her initial inhibitions about love and marriage.
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are consistently interesting, always intelligent and surprisingly provocative in the most unexpected of ways. Defenetly 'Ye Maaya Chesave' is a very peculiar take on the genre, but it works because of Gautam Menon's efforts to challenge viewers hope. More than the familiar plot of boy meets the girl, director Gautam Menon tactfully works around the initial hiccups, skepticism and charming trepidation of first love. Even though the separation of the two lovers towards the end of the film looks very contrived, it establishes how separation actually strengthened their bond. Definitely we can say 'Ye Maaya Chesave' is one of the best and most exciting telugu movie of all time.
The Basic story is Naga Chaitanya who completed his Engineering graduation he want to become a film director. He instantly falls in love with a pretty girl Samantha who turns out to be the daughter of his house owner. After a few meetings, Chaitanya proposes to her but she is reluctant to accept his proposal. She didn’t accept his love of two things. One is she is older than him and another thing is they are Malayali Christians. But slowly she falls in love with him because of his guts and his perseverance. But her father fixes her marriage with some other person. She can't go against her family. The rest of the story is all about how Naga Chaitanya achieves his passion to become a film director and tastes success at the personal front. Sure, there are some moments that are disappointingly undernourished but they don't outweigh the ones with sheer brilliance.
The other characters in the movie are Krishnudu who has done the friend character of Naga Chaitanya. He is extremely good. Sanjay Swaroop who is the producer and husband of Manjula has done the Hero’s father character and he performed very well. All the other characters have done a good job.
Chaitanya breathes life and charm into the role of a colorful lover and is bound to connect with youngsters. Debutante Samantha is fairly impressive. It seems that Tamil filmmaker Gautam Menon could break his jinx in Telugu with this candy floss romance.
Music composed by A.R.Rahman is magical, and together with the gorgeous imagery it serves for a visual song of vulnerability, with a rhythm vaulting from discord to harmony and back again in vibrating organic colored tones, as if the whole film were breathing on its own. 'Ee Hridayam' in particular is extraordinary what with its swoony lyricism and unearthly vocals. The background score, rerecording and mixing is perfectly done.
One word to say is the movie ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ is one of the finest movie of all time Telugu movies. |
