Twinkle shares her birthday with her Dad, yes the two were born on the same date December 29Gorgeous Twinkle Khanna is the daughter of Superstar Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. Twinkle also has a younger sister Rinkie Khanna and the two lived with their mother Dimple after their parents got separated. Twinkle, as a teenager would help her mom Dimple in her candle making business.

Twinkle Khanna studied at Mithibai College in Mumbai and after graduation she decided to make a career in Bollywood.

Twinkle Khanna made her debut in Barsaat opposite Bobby Deol “Barsaat” was a perfect launch pad for Twinkle and she looked beautiful in the movie; in times when fashion was not given importance, Twinkle made a style statement in costumes designed by her aunt Simple Kapadia. Twinkle also won Filmfare Best Debut Award for her performance. and has since then blossomed into a swan both in terms of beauty and performance. Itihaas, Badshaah, Mela, Jaan, Jodi No 1, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega are few of her good performances.

Twinkle Khanna also acted in Hindi movie paired with Venkatesh one of the top four Heros on Tollywood Industry in the film “ Srinu” where the hero acts as Dum and the heroine tries to learn classical dance. To practice dancing expressions she makes friendship with hero as she thinks that the hero can’t speak. This way the movie goes.

Twinkle Khanna got friendly to her co-star Akshay Kumar while shooting for “Zulmi” and “International Khiladi” and she started dating him despite his Casanova image. Twinkle Khanna tied the knot with Akshay on January 14 2001.

The same year Twinkle Khanna had two releases “Jodi No 1″ and “Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega” and both became superhits. Twinkle was still doing great in her career, but she decided to retire and pursue a career as an Interior designer. Twinkle found success in her endeavour and runs a chain of artifacts and furniture stores called White Window. Twinkle also has a son with Akshay named Aarav.

Twinkle Khanna has also designed the houses of top notch industrialist and celebrities in India and abroad. With her business venture going strong, Twinkle currently, has no plans to make a comeback in Bollywood.
