Telangana Activists Object Theen Maar Title
Objecting to the title of upcoming Telugu film ‘Theen Maar’ starring Pavan Kalyan, a group of Telangana activists held protest at the Osmania University campus here and burnt posters of the movie.
Members of the pro-Telangana cultural organisation which is also named ‘Teen Maar’, raised slogans against the actor, brother of actor-politician Chiranjeevi, and accused pawan Kalyan and the film producer Ganesh Babu of ignoring their demands by not revising Theen Maar film title.
The members said their organisation ‘Teen Maar’ has been working for social cause and dalit issues and claimed that the film’s title was being used for commercial purpose. The protesters demanded immediate revision of the film’s title, failing which they threatened to disrupt the screening of the movie, scheduled to release next week, in Telangana region.
