Thanikella Bharani is a multi-faceted actor in Tollywood. He is a play writer, a dialogue writer, poet, magazine editor, an actor and a director.
Thanikella Bharani was born on July 14 1956 and belongs to Palkol, born in Secunderabad, Gandhi Hospital (then it was King Jorge Memorial (KM)), Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
Thanikella Bharani worked for more than three hundred movies with most of the remarkable characters and being a writer most of the dialogues written by him are well reputed.
Bharani did stage plays in the mid 70s and during this time he made the acquaintance of Rallapalli, a Tollywood actor. With his help Thanikella Bharani started writing small dialogues and stage scenes. Later, he took a diploma in Theatre arts. Following Rallapalli’s advice he moved to Chennai.
After desperate trying Thanikella Bharani got a chance to write dialogues for the movie ‘Kanchu Kavacham’ and has written dialogues for various movies like Ladies Tailor (1985 film), Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi Recording Dance Troupe (1987), Varasudochhadu (1988), Chettu Kinda Pleader (1989), Swara Kalpana (1989), and Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi (2004).
Bharani also penned and sung the lyrics of Gundammagaari Manavadu (Bhale Bhaleti Mandu).
Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi Recording Dance Troupe’ was Thanikella Bharani’s debut film as an actor and he also provided dialogues for this remarkable comedy movie.
Thanikella Bharani also played the lead role in the Hindi comedy film Main Tere Pyar Mein Pagal in 1999. He played one of the lead roles in Rajubhai (2007).
After 2000, Thanikella Bharani started playing more mature roles in movies like Manmadhudu (2002), Okariki Okaru (2002), Samba (2004), Malliswari (2004 film), Godavari (film) (2006), Happy (film) (2006), and more.
Thanikella Bharani married Bhavani and has a son and a daughter. He has also directed one movie named ‘Sira’ which helped him to get a best director award at Idaho film festival.
Being a versatile actor Thanikella Bharani can play any type of characters justifying his role whether it is a charter artist, vilan or comedy oriented role.
Thanikella Bharani is very much popular in the background of movie industry, often quoted as “Maga Saraswathy” ( Male god of education) by different actors and actresses.
