Model turned actress, Saloni Aswani was born on 1 June, 1985 as Vandana Aswani in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra in a Sindhi family but she brought up in Mumbai,  as her father was a Customs Officer.

In education, she has done graduating in Psychology in Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University (SNDT). She always wanted to be an actress. To pursue her goal, she started doing plays at a younger age of 12 and joined in Ashok Kumar’s Acting Academy for acting lessons. She was part of the theater group, “Kala Sansad” and participated in several theater shows.

Saloni started her stint with the glamour world after a few modeling assignments. She has done commercials for Vaseline, Lifebuoy, Parachute Oil, Moove, Chic shampoo, three roses tea, Meera soaps, etc.

She made her acting debut in the 2003 Hindi film Dil Pardesi Ho Gaya, directed by Sawaan Kumar Tak, who changed her name Saloni. Saloni’s other acting credits include the Kannada Films Budhivanta, Theertha and Dubai Babu. Aswani has also appeared in Telugu Films Dhana 51, Oka Orillo, Kokilla and Chukkallo Chandrudu.

Her film career started with a bollywood film and later on she got an opportunity to work in a Telugu film named Dhana51 and after that she acted in Oka Oorilo. Due to her cute looking and good acting she got opportunity to work for other Telugu films with the Tamil and Kannada films also. “Magadheera” is the biggest hit in her career which was directed by SS Rajamouli and the hero of this movie is Ram Charan Tej in this film she acted in a supporting role. With her best performance she also got an opportunity to work for another Rajamouli’s film i.e. Maryada Ramanna and Telugu Comedy actor Sunil is played hero role in this film.
