Rakshita is a South Indian actress, who has acted in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu movies. Rakshita is the daughter of Kannada actress Mamtha Rao and Cinematographer B.C.Gourishankar. Unfortunately her father couldn’t see his daughter’s success due to his untimely demise.

She started her career with a Kannada blackbuster movie “Appu” with Puneeth Rajkumar as the co-star.

Rakshita did the same role in Telugu remake of “Appu” which was renamed as “Idiot” with Ravi Teja as co-star, the movie was also a big hit establishing her in telugu cinema industry also.
