Personal Life:

The most popular South Indian film actor even today is Rajnikanth for his unique style and dialogue delivery in films. Rajinikanth a Tamil actor was born as Sivaji Rao Gaekwad on December 12 1949 in Karnataka, in a Maharashtrian family to Jija bai and Ramoji Rao Gaekwad. He studied at the Acharya Patasala in Bangalore and had his higher education at the Ramakrishna Mission in Bangalore.

At the age of five, Rajinikanth lost his mother, and he had to struggle a lot during his childhood by doing jobs as coolie and worked in many places in Chennai and Bangalore before joining the Bangalore Transport Service (BTS) as a bus conductor, and Rajinikanth used to take part in stage plays, with the motivation of his co-worker Rajinikanth joined the Madras Film Institute and his friend financially supported Rajinikanth for two years during his studies. It was K. Balachander film director brought Rajinikanth into Tamil Film Industry by giving him an advice to learn Tamil language which Rajinikanth followed very quickly and this made him star in the Indian cinemas.

Rajinikanth did his debut Film in Tamil through Apoorva Raagangal, Starring Kamal Haasan, where he playd in a small role as an abusive husband, The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. He made his debuts in many languages like in Tamil his debut film was Aboorva Ragangal, in Hindi the debut film was Andhaa Kanoon, in Telugu his first debut was with the film Anthuleni Katah, he even acted in English film called Blood stone, in Kannada he first acted in the film Katha Sangama, in Malayalam it was Alavudheenum Arputha Vilakkum his first film and in Bengali the film was Bhagya Devta through which he entered into the whole Indian language films.

Film Bairavi was the first Tamil film as a lead role, next it was film Mullum Malarum got his break in movies and won him critical acclaim. Rajinikanth also acted with N.T.Rama Rao in the film Tiger, and other films were Amma Evarikkaina Amma. His films that include his success are Mr. Bharath (1986), Velaikaran (1987), Naan Sigappu Manithan (1985), Rajadhi Raja, Siva, Mappillai . Film Raja Chinna Roja was the first Indian film to use animated characters with actors in which the lead character was potrayed by Rajinikanth.

Rajnikanth kept himself away from acting for sometime. Later in his career Chandramukhi was claimed as one of the most successful Tamil films .next film, Sivaji: The Boss, directed by S. Shankar was also the super hit movies Rajinikanth is a strong believer of spirituality and follower of Hinduism, spiritualism. He supported the Indian National Congress after meeting Prime Minister Narasimha Rao. Today the highest paid actor in Indian film industry is Rajnikanth after Jackie Chan in Asian films.

Rajinikanth married an Iyengar girl Latha Rangachari, on February 26, 1981, they have two daughters named Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth.Rajinikanth is popular internationally throughout the World Wide Web and established himself as a commercial entertainer and almost all his films were box office hits.
