S.S. Rajamouli Profile

S.S. Rajamouli is one the most successful film directors in Tollywood. He is the son of popular tollywood story writer Vijayendra Prasad. He was introduced as director by K. Raghavendra Rao. His hits include Student No. 1 and Simhadri, both had given success to Jr. NTR. Rajamouli movies boast good story and technical values and a powerful package. He is also the cousin of music directors M. M. Keeravani and Kalyani Malik. Rajamouli used to TV serials under the guidance of his guru K. Raghavendra Rao. He impressed K. Raghavendra Rao and got the chance to direct Student No. 1. Rajamouli was attacked in a quarry of hyderabad during Vikramarkudu’s shoot and was seriously injured. He has a hand fracture and survived.

Previously, Rajamouli directed teleserials under the guidance of his guru K.
Raghavendra Rao. His first gig was Student No. 1, which he directed under K.
Raghavendra Rao’s supervision. He often collaborates with Vijayendra Prasad (Writer),who is also Rajamouli’s father, M. M. Keeravani (Music director), R Ravinder (Art Director) and Kalyani Malik (Music director).

S.S. Rajamouli is a film director in Tollywood. He was introduced as a director by K. Raghavendra Rao. Starting from his first venture as a director, Student No. 1, all his movies have fared well at the box office. Simhadri  was a success. His movies, Yamadonga  and Magadheera have a mythological background, and show the director’s versatility apart from his handling of predominantly contemporary subjects, such as Sye. Rajamouli’s movies often boast a good story, superior technical values and are overall, proven powerful packages.

Later, he worked for some days in AVM recording theatre. After that, he joined his father as an assistant with his father S Vijayendra Prasad for about six years. During that time, Rajamouli used to narrate his stories to several directors.After his home production Ardhangi turned out be a disaster, his family returned from Chennai to Hyderabad.

Rajamouli born in Raichur of Karnataka. However, his native place is Kovvur. He studied up to Class IV at Kovvur and continued his education till Intermediate at Eluru. Moreover his father and brother are in the film industry. So, he joined as an assistant with Editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao for some time.
