VB Rajendra Prasad a renowned producer of yesteryears was richly felicitated by Telugu film producers.

Mr VB. Rajendra Prasad was born on November 4, 1932 in Gudivada, Krishna (Dt). in an Agriculture family  Known as a `Gentleman-producer’,
Had his basic education in Dokiparru.

After marriage VB. Rajendra Prasad shifted to Madras in 1958, with an intention to become a Hero and he struggled a lot for the offers in the movies. Even though ANR helped VBR and introduced D. MADHUSUDHAN RAO Garu, VBR was not offered Hero role by any Producers.

Then Akkineni Nageshwar Rao suggested him to back out the intention of becoming hero and asked him to dub the movies from other languages to Telugu. VB. Rajendra Prasad debuted as Producer with ANNAPURNA and V. Madhusudhan Rao was the Director for that movie, thus how he started his career as producer.

VB. Rajendra Prasad started his career under the banner of Jagapathi Art Pictures, as a producer with the film, `Annapoorna.

VB. Rajendra Prasad is the father of actor Jagapati Babu and a respected figure in the film industry, VB. Rajendra Prasad in his long journey of four decades in cinema is intimately connected with Telugu filmdom’s golden period. The 77-year-old film producer-director, who started his carrier in 1960.made 34 films and directed 22 films in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages and directed around 13 Movies.

His directorial debut “Dasara Bullodu” was a runaway success. V B Rajendraprasad is a Great producer of Telugu films. He produced many hits and blockbusters like Dasara Bullodu.

VB. Rajendra Prasad is remembered for films like “Aaradhana, Antastulu, Adrushtavanthudu, Aatmabalam” and more in Telugu.

The awards that honored him are innumerable including several National and Regional awards. VB. Rajendra Prasad was honored with the prestigious Raghupati Venkaiah award.

VB. Rajendra Prasad is also associated with welfare activities for film workers and in developing film infrastructure.
In recognition of his services to Telugu cinema, VB. Rajendra Prasad won `K.V. Reddy Memorial Award’ instituted by the cultural organisation Yuvakala Vauhini.

VB. Rajendra Prasad is the Committee President for the Temple Complex that consists of 11 Temples in the Daiva Sannidhanam temple. The array of temples situated at Film Nagar in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad .
