Producer Dr.D.Ramanaidu Profile

Dr. Daggubati Ramanaidu who holds Guinness Book of Records as the most prolific producer with 120 films  born on 6 June 1936  to Daggubati Venkateswarlu and Lakshmi Devamma in Karamchedu , Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh.
He had basic education in Karamchedu and higher education in chirala and did his College education in Presidency College, Chennai.

Apart from producing Telugu movies, he has also produced movies in languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Bengali.

In the most glamarous world of celluoid, wherein Dr.D.Ramanaidu successfully spent as many as four decades, he always remained friendly, simple and most unassuming.

Dr.D.Ramanaidu produced his first Telugu film Anuragam, followed by a very successful Ramudu Bheemudu starring N. T. Rama Rao in 1964.

Dr.D.Ramanaidu produced more than 120 films covering almost all the major Indian Languages. A large number of those films are BOX-OFFICE hits having rewritten new history of glory and grandeur.
Many of Ramanaidu’s films, have won critics acclaim – Regional, National and Global, for their celluloid excellence with a noble purpose of social service.

Dr.D.Ramanaidu build his own palatial studio – D. Ramanaidu Studios attached with a colorful color laboratory and he is a film distributor too. The best part of his business is that he is always friendly with producers, to whom he has extended an excellent support.

Dr.D.Ramanaidu was a member of the Telugu Desam Party and represented Baptala constituency in Guntur District in the 13th Lok Sabha from 1999-2004. He lost in the elections to the same seat for the 14th Lok Sabha in 2004.
