Even though he got red carpet welcome to the industry from the first movie itself he created his own style in dance sequences and action episodes. From the child hood he learn martial arts and he conducted an event in Ravindra Bharathi and at that function only he was awarded as “Pawan” an alternate name of Lord Hanuman. From then he becomes “Pawan Kalyan”.

He has done some of the martial arts in his debut movie Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi in 1996 all the people treated him as Megastar Chiranjeevi’s brother. That trend continues for only 2 movies. After Gokulamlo Sitha he has done a lover boy role in the movie “Suswagatham” and has shown excellent performance in the movie.

After that he has done “Tholi Prema” in 1998 which is a blockbuster in the industry. He has done a excellent role in the movie as balu and this film is the milestone in Pawan Kalyan’s career. The music composed by Deva another asset to the film. From then onwards he doesn’t need to look back.

After that he has done a challenging role in the movie Thammudu which is the remake of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and he plays the role of a boxer. After that he acted the title role in Badri with Amisha Patel and Renu Desai as heroines which is directed by Puri Jagannadh was another blockbuster in Pawan Kalyan’s career. The film became a blockbuster because of stunning performance by Pawan Kalyan only.

After that he acted in the film Kushi which was released in 2001 is a sensational hit in his career which is his 7th movie only and it grossed more than 20 crores which shows the stamina of Pawan Kalyan.

After Kushi he went to Japan to learn Akido martial art for his next movie which is a debut directorial movie Johnny. Even though the movie didn’t get success at Boxoffice but he got 100 marks for his directorial skills.

After Johnny he has done a mass role in Gudumba Shankar in which the stunts, script and dance sequences was composed by Pawan Kalyan only and the film did average business in the boxoffice as the fans are expecting more from him.

After that he has done Balu ABCDEFG in 2005 which is directed by Karunakaran who directed Tholi Prema is also an average film and after that A.M.Rathnam was produced a film with Pawan Kalyan named Bangaram is also an average film.

After that he done the movie Annavaram with sister sentiment is a big releaf to Pawan Kalyan. He got huge success after Kushi with the film Annavaram only.

Now he doing a film named “Jalsa” with Iliana, Parvathi Melton and Kamilinee Mukharjee as female leads. Allu Aravind in producing the film under Geetha Arts banner and the film is directing by Trivikram Srinivas.
