Parvati Melton born 1989 California , is an Indian model and a Tollywood actress. She acted with Raja in the film Vennela, which turned out to be a success. She has a sister Ariana.

NRI beauty Parvati Melton became the heroine in the recent Raja-starrer Vennela.

Parvati Melton, that’s her name father is a German and Punjabi mother a North India, her father was the one who gave her the name Parvati. They have been settled in the US for quite some time and like most Indian Americans, she had a conservative upbringing. She had always loved acting and, from the beginning, was involved in modelling and music videos. And that made her move to films is a natural process.

Parvati was a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and films didn’t happen to me by fluke. She learnt and teach BharatNatyam and this helps her pick up steps easily.

She wanted to complete her studies first before getting into this line.

Parvati Melton is a very active girl having too many hobbies. Her hobbies includes Aerobics, Yoga , writing poetry and short stories in English and Hindi, Free Style Dancing, Ice skating, tennis, swimming, music, travelling etc.

She knows English, Hindi, Punjabi , Urdu and Gujarati languages.

The Telugu hot actress was a model before coming to cinema. Her Telugu debut “Vennela” in 2005 opposite Raja was a big hit and established her in Tollywood film industry firmly.

My determination gives me stamina to succeed in all I do, and conviction from within. My assertiveness helps me to be the best in all I do. This is why I believe in myself and follow my dreams.”

Parvati won various Indo-American pageants since she is a model.

Her goals include being a South Asian model to succeed in the international modeling industry and using her success to encourage other ethnic women from other Asian countries to succeed. Having five languages under her belt (English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Gujarati) and so much experience at such a young age, she feels she is well on her way to a successful career, especially since she intends to be part of the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants. When asked what she enjoys about competing in pageants, it’s the uncertainty she speaks of.

She is now reportedly getting a lot of offers from Bollywood, including a film with Hrithik Roshan for Suresh Productions.
