King Nagarjuna , very handsome and great actor from Tollywood even after crossing five 10’s of his age giving tough competion to young stars.

Nagarjuna is the son of veteran actor Akkineni Nageswar Rao and Annapurna. Was born on 29th August 1959 in Chennai. He did his schooling at Hyderabad Public School, Intermediate from Little Flower Junior College, pursued Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, did his Masters Degree in Automobile Engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Nagarjuna is well educated before he started his career in films.

Nagarjuna debuted as child actor in Telugu film Sudigundalu directed by veteran Adurthi Subbarao. His debut movie as lead hero ‘Vikram’ was a remake of the Hindi Movie ‘Hero’. From there he acting in a string of films, like ‘Majnu’ as a tragedy hero, Collector gari Abbayi’.

His breakthrough came out with film ‘Akhari Poraatam’ directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. And ‘Geethanjali’ a love story directed by Maniratnam and was titled as Yuvasamrat Nagarjuna.

Nagarjuna ‘s stardom started with film ‘Shiva’ an action film directed by Ram Gopal Varma  became box office hit and he reached to the top heroes position which he still maintains. Nagarjuna gives chance to new directors and encourages them like Ram Gopal Varma.  And the film remaked in Hindi which was his first debut film in Bollywood.  His other Hindi films were Angaarey, Agni Varsha, Khuda Gawah, Criminal, LOC Kargil, Mr. Bechara , and Zakhm .

Telugu films like President Gari Pellam and Hello Brother made Nagarjuna the mass hero. Then Nagarjuna acted in film ‘Ninne Pelladutha’ directed by Krishna Vamsi co-starred with actress Tabu was blockbuster hit.

Nagarjuna acted as Annamacharya, who was the 15th-century Telugu singer and poet, in the film Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu’ film on the life of great saint-composer Ramadasu, both directed by great director K.Raghavendra Rao for which Nagarjuna won Filmfare Best Actor Award and first Nandi Award for Best Actor. The film became the biggest hit in Tollywood. Nagarjuna also acted in Tamil films like Ratchagan which was remade as Rakshakudu in Telugu and his other Telugu films were dubbed in Tamil version.

After that Nagarjuna  was seen in films like Nenunnanu, Mass ,Super, Boss, Don were all average hits in his career but still he maintained his stardom by doing different rolesin each by experimenting his looks and way of dressing.

Nagarjuna taken the responsibility of production Annapurna Studios one of the most successful production companies in Tollywood and made his debut as a television produced the serial Yuva in Maa TV channel in which he is the shareholder.

Actor Nagarjuna married the daughter of great Producer Dr.D. RamaNaidu and as son Naga Chaitainya who is an young actor of present day.  Nagarjuna  divorced his first first when his son a kid and later married to actress Amala who is more popular with Social service and co-founder of Blue Cross of Hyderabad, they both blessed with son Akhil Akkineni who acted in film as baby Sisindri.
