Mr Nookayya Movie Review

Manchu Manoj, Kirti Kharbanda and Sana Khan starrer Mr.Nookayya movie is all set to hit the screens today. Mr.Nookayya is directed by Anil Krishna and produced by D.S.Rao under the Sri Shailendra Cinema Banner. The audio of the Mr.Nookayya bagged a good success, the songs are on top list of chart-busters and the unit recently celebrated its triple platinum disc function ( For Pics ) too. Yuvan Raja composed scored the tunes for this Movie and Mr.Nookayya said to be an action thriller. Manchu Manoj is very confident about the Mr.Nookayya. The Movie earlier titled as Mr.Nokia but later it was changed to Mr.Nookayya ( Click for Reasons of changing tilte ).

Story:

Mr. Nokia aka Nookayya (Manoj) is a mobile phone thief. At one point he decides to settle down in life by stealing big money. He comes across Anu (Kriti), who is carrying 2 crores money with her. He steals the money and gets cheated by his friend and dumped by his lover. At this point he meets Anu again and comes to know that her husband has been kidnapped and the ransom that the kidnappers demanded for was stolen. Now Nokia tries to rectify his mistake by getting her husband back from the kidnappers. What happens next is the crux of the story.

Analysis:

The screenplay in the first half of the film is quite confusing with the director having no clue on how to execute it. At times, the scenes were boring and tests your patience. The interval block is amazing with a twist. The second half of the film slowly gains momentum and gets into few twists and mixed with melodrama. Manoj has delivered his best and carried the movie on his shoulders. He should be appreciated for doing some breathtaking stunts without any dupes in the movie.

Debutant Ani Kanneganti has come up with a routine storyline and stylish presentation. However, the narration is not convincing and the director faltered in bringing out the needed flavor. Too many action scenes will spoil the essence of the movie and leaves you gasping and exhausted. Overall, the film might go well with the audience who loves action movies.

Performances:

Manchu Manoj is a powerhouse of energy. He has done fabulous job as Nookayya. His dances are rocking and so are his fights. He does complete justice to his title ‘Rocking star’. He shoulders the film right from the word go and is definitely on the right track to become a bankable star.

Kriti Kharbanda is sweet and Sana Khan is hot. Their performances are okay. Kriti scores a bit higher than Sana though. Brahmanandam is funny in a small role. Vennela Kishore is strictly Okay. Murali Sharma is loud. Ahuti Prasad and others did a fine job.
