Hema is one of the popular actresses in Telugu movie industry as a comedian and character artist.

Hema belongs to Razole, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. She was born in a small family with one brother, She studied up to seventh class and discontinued due to various reasons.Her real name is ‘Krishna Veni’ and she changed her name to ‘Hema’ after coming to movie industry.

Right from her childhood Hema is more interested in movies and love to watch movies, having a strong desire to act in movies she went to Madras with her mother and with the help of junior artist supplier ‘Ranga’ she got an opportunity to work for small roles. She believed acting in small characters might get big characters if it is done well.

With her hard work, she got selected to Ram Gopal Varma film ‘Kshna Kshnam’ as a heroin friend character and this role got her a good name. Sridevi is the heroin of this movie.

Some sources reveal that Hema, Udaya Bhanu, Jhansi and Suma started their careers through Doordarshan Channel and then migrated to the film industry.

Hema’s way of dialogue delivery, timing makes her characters more apt. Her smile made her more popular too. And is well known for her satirical dialogues in movies.

Hema’s acting is impeccable as her dialogues delivery in ‘Athadu’, ‘Shiva’, ‘Malleshwari’ and many such films has fetched her positive laurels from her co-stars and the audiences.

Hema had acted more than hundred films before her marriage in 1993, and after acting in some movies she got married, she started her second innings with the movie and she is continuing her movie career for almost seven years and later she started her second innings with the movie ‘Murari’ which was directed by Krishna Vamsi these days with most of the remarkable characters.

Hema got quite good hit movies like Murari, Balakrishna, Narasimha Naidu, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, Jayam Manadera after starting her second innings, and after that movie brought a good name and as well as more comedy and side characters with the combination of Brahmanandam.
