Comedian Brahmanandam Profile

Brahmanandam is a popular Telugu film comedian-actor. The roles he portrayed are usually comic in nature.

Brahmanandam was born in February 1, 1956 Sattenapalli, Andhra Pradesh, his full name is Brahmanandam Kanneganti. He is also called as “Brahmi” in Telugu cinema industry. Brahmanandam’s comedy expressions, characters are completely enjoyed by comedy lovers.

Before starting his film career Brahmanandam used to work as a Telugu lecturer in the town of Attili.

Brahmanandam’s film career started with a super hit comedy movie Aha Naa Pellanta which was directed by well known comedy director, Jandhyala. This movie was a big hit and the comedy role played by Brahmanandam is even remembered today.

The combination of Brahmanandam with Kota Srinivasa Rao, Babu Mohan, Ali, AVS are well reputed to be hilarious through out the scenes and comedy lovers enjoys their combination. There are number of remarkable Telugu comedy scenes with their combination in most of the Telugu movies.

Brahmanandam has already acted in more than 750 movies with his remarkable comedy roles and for his extra ordinary services to Tollywood, he has been awarded with “Padma Shri” from Indian Government.

Brahmanandam had also placed in “Guinness book of world records” for his amazing performances and for acting as a comedian for more than seven hundred movies. He has been honored with most of the prestigious awards through out his career.

Brahmanandam is married with Lakshmi. He has two sons and the elder son Gautam has been introduced to the Telugu film industry through Pallakilo Pellikooturu. The film is directed by renown choreographer and writer, Chandrabose’s wife Suchitra.

Brahmanandam forayed onto the small screen with the quiz show Brahmi 10 Lakh Show on iNews Channel. The show’s format was similar to that of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Brahmanandam gave his 20 years of his life in Telugu films and is still ruling the industry as a comedian.

Comedian Brahmanandam is considered as genius of an artist. Entire Telugu community in world recognized him as pride of Telugu cinema.

Awards:

Acharya Nagarjuna University awarded an honorary doctorate award.
In 2005, Allu Award, instituted in the memory of Allu Rama Lingaiah.
Placed in the Guinness World Records for acting in 754 Telugu films in 20 years. In January 2009, the Government of India bestowed the title of Padmasri. Awarded the Nandi Award for best male comedian for the 2008 film Ready.
