Ayesha Julka was born on 28th July in Srinagar (Kashmir). She had spent her childhood in Srinagar along with her sister Aparna. Later Ayesha’s parents shifted to Bombay for education of their children and settled down there in the end. After her education, Ayesha had stepped into the modeling arena for a short period before becoming an actress in the Bollywood. Ayesha’s father was an officer in Indian Air Force.  Ayesha studied in Loreto Convent, Delhi Cantt, till Class X and graduated in 1986.

Ayesha Jhulka made her debut in Bollywood with the film “Kaise Kaise Log”. Though the film was not successful at box office but her performance was noticed. Since then Ayesha has acted in more than 35 films with renowned actors of the Indian film industry.

After her relationship with her childhood boyfriend, Rajat Mathur, ended, Ayesha re-located to Mumbai to join the Bollywood film industry.

Ayesha Jhulka was rumoured to be involved with actors Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar before she married Sameer Vashi.

Ayesha Jhulka stole hearts when she danced to Pehla Nasha in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. She was on the race to the number one position when she got married. But she has resurfaced in Bollywood in recent times. She got married to Sameer Vashi, who is a construction businessman.

One of the very first movies Ayesha Jhulka did was Sunil Dutt’s Qurbaan, where she was cast opposite Salman Khan. Though the film was not a big hit, it proved to be a fair launch pad for the actress.

In Khiladi (1992), which was another hit, she was paired with Akshay Kumar and was about a prank that goes horribly wrong. The two stars came together again in Waqt Hamara Hai (1993) which was a flop.

Some of her most well-known films were Khiladi with Akshay Kumar, and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar with Aamir Khan which has the famous song “Pehla Nasha”.
