The most talented and versatile actress Sweety Shetty alias Anushka Shetty is born in 1981 in Mangalore, Karnataka State. Her mother tongue is Tulu. She is having two brothers one is Dr. Sai Ramesh who is a Dentist and Gunaranjan who is a good Businessman. As she born in Mangalore but her family settled in Bangalore. Anushka completed her school and college education in Bangalore. Anushka completed her graduation in the Bachelor of Computer Application’s from Mount Carmel College under Bangalore University. Her next film Arundhati got tremendous reviews for her portrayal of the 2 central characters of the film both named Arundhati alias Jejamma, separated by a time period of 3 generations. The film itself was a stupendous box office hit grossing 68 crores including 10 crores from Tamil Nadu more than successful in recovering its budget of 13 crores. It was dubbed in Tamil as well. Anushka's performance was equally well received by critics and viewers who lauded her with credits for her beautiful performance in the film.

In the year 2008 she had 2 more hits named Chintakayala Ravi opposite Victory Venkatesh and another movie is Souryam opposite Gopichand. Not only in Telugu she acted in Tamil film called Rendu in the year 2006 leading tamil star Madhavan. She played the character of Jyothi in this film and won the hearts of her male fans by her revealing skin show and also by her dancing skills. This film was an average hit at the box office.
